What can I expect during a home visit?

The last thing many new parents want to do is leave home with their new baby. So, our consult will take place in the comfort of your home. You do not need to shower or change out of your pajamas or clean house for me. I would much rather you get a nap in! During our time together, we will start by discussing your feeding goals. Then, I will complete a physical assessment of your baby and oral exam. I will weigh the baby before and after breastfeeding to see how much is being transferred from the breast. We will discuss different feeding options, and decide on a care plan that best fits your families needs. I will follow up our visit by emailing a care plan specific to your needs/goals, along with any resources that you have requested, and send a report to your pediatrician regarding our visit. Initial consults last around 90 minutes, and come with 2 weeks of free call/text/email support.

Can you really help me through virtual consult?

Yes! I use google meet for my virtual consults, and it meets all the privacy requirements for healthcare and is HIPPA compliant. We start by discussing your infant feeding goals. Next, we will complete the physical assessment together (don’t worry, I’ll guide you). When ready we will complete a feeding together. Phones work great to be able to see the different angles of the feeding. We will discuss different options for a care plan that best fits your families needs. I will follow up our visit by emailing a care plan specific to your needs/goals, email any resources that you have requested, and send a report to your pediatrician regarding our visit. Initial consults last between 60-90 minutes, and come with 2 weeks of free call/text/email support.

My baby is in the NICU, can you still help me?

Yes! I was a NICU nurse before I started my private practice. I understand the ins/outs of NICU life, and I am happy to help you through your NICU journey. During your NICU stay we can discuss milk management and breastfeeding progression in preterm infants. Once you are home, we can work together to transition from bottles to breasfeeding if that is your goal.

Will you still help me if I am using formula?

Heck yes! I am here to support YOUR feeding goals. Every family, body, baby is different.

What if I want to breast and bottle feed?

Great! Together we will make a plan that best fits your lifestyle and needs!

My baby won’t take a bottle, can you help?

Yes! I have some tips and tricks that can help in these tough situations.

What if my baby isn’t hungry during our consult?

I know babies are unpredictable, but if possible to try to feed about 2 hours before our scheduled meeting, that way your baby is ready to eat sometime during our time together.

North Denver area including but not limited to: Brighton, Broomfield, Erie, Thornton, Henderson, Westminster, Northglenn, Firestone, Longmont, Frederick, Lafayette, Lousiville, Superior, Fort Lupton, Lochbuie, Dacono, Boulder. Also serving Eagle, Vail, Edwards, Avon area

What if I am not in your area?

Text me at 303-416-6104 for pricing outside of my service area. Typically it will be a $25 travel fee

What are your Covid-19 guidelines?

I am excited to share that I am fully vaccinated as of February 2021. I will be wearing a mask while inside your home. I sanitize my scale before and after all uses. If anyone in your home is exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms or under quarantine, we can switch to a virtual consult, or re-schedule the in-home visit with no cancelation/re-schedule fee.

What is your cancelation policy?

There is a $25 fee to cancel or reschedule within 24hours of our appointment.

Do you take HSA/FSA cards?

Yes! I can accept HSA cards or give you a receipt for services to be reimbursed.

What forms of payment do you take?

Cash, Check, Credit Card, HSA/FSA card.

When do I pay you?

In home Consult: payment is taken when I arrive at your home. Virtual Consult: payment is due upon booking. Insurance Client: if you have BCBS PPO, Anthem BCBS PPO, Cigna PPO, United PPO and have been approved through lactation network, then no payment is due. Can I get a discount?

If you are a Medicaid client or WIC participant I offer a 50% discount. I also offer a sliding scale discount to serve Teen Moms, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communites. Please text/email me prior to booking to ensure we apply the discount in advance.
